You can see the heavy deposits even in the last 8 inches... but they have been scraped away for the most part with a screw driver, I think. 8 inches into the pipe there is a lip, and the inside has at least a 6mm coating on the inside of carbon. the best web site I have found to date says use brake cleaner.
